26 Haziran Çarşamba günü, akşam saat 22:00 sularında, şiddetli rüzgarın etkisiyle üst üste binen ana hat elektrik telleri, Pütürge İlçesi, Pazarcık ile Körme Mahalleleri arasındaki elektrik trafosu'nun patlayarak alev almasına neden oldu. Trafonun patlamasıyla, diğer 5 farklı mahalle'nin de elektrik panoları da alev aldı. Aynı anda, eş zamanlı, Körme Mahallesi, Tepehan Merkez, Şalyan, Kurucak, Tatlıcak Mahalleleri ve Aşağı Titrin mevkiinde yangın çıktı. Çıkan yangınlar kısa sürede ormanlık alanlar ile vatandaşların arazi ve bahçelerine sıçradı. Ekiplerin aynı anda 6 farklı bölgeye müdahale etmesinden dolayı, söndürme ve kontrol altına alma eylemi bir hayli zorlaştı. Diğer 5 bölge, kısa sürede söndürülerek kontrol altına alınırken, Körme, Sahil Köy, Başmezra ve Esenlik Mahalleleri'ne yakın gerçekleşen yangın, rüzgarın da etkisiyle büyüyerek ormanlık alan ile yerleşim alanlarına doğru hızla ilerledi. Yangın'a İtfaiye Ekipleri, Bir Helikopter, 9 araç 27 personeli ile müdahale ederken, Pütürge Belediyesi de saha ekipleri ve iş makineleriyle 6 farklı bölgede itfaiye ekiplerine destek sağladı.
YERLEŞİM ALANLARI BOŞALTILDI, YANGIN 12 SAAT'TE ZOR SÖNDÜRÜLDÜ, 500 DÖNÜM ALAN KÜL OLDU
Rüzgarın etkisiyle 400 dönümlük orman ile vatandaşlara ait arazi ve bahçelere sıçrayan yangın, Perşembe günü sabah saatlerinde anca kontrol altına alınabildi.
Gece saatlerinde, yangın yerleşim alanlarına doğru hızla ilerlerken, evlere sıçraması ihtimaline karşı, herhangi bir can kaybı olmaması için yerleşim alanları, tahliye edilerek boşaltıldı. Perşembe günü saat 10:00 sularında söndürme işlemi tamamlanarak, Helikopterle havadan ve diğer araçlarla karadan, soğutma çalışmaları yapıldı. 12 saat sonra yangının kontrol altına alınmasıyla vatandaş rahat bir nefes aldı. Gerçekleşen yangınlar, Körme, Sahilköy, Başmezra ve Esenlik Mahalleleri civarında, 400 dönümlük arazi ve ormanlık alanı, diğer 5 bölgede ise 100 dönümlük olmak üzere toplamda 500 dönümlük alanı yakıp kül etti.
